OJ Top Commentator at Penang Hill

I treated Occasions of Joy's June Top Commentator at Penang Hill last August 19. Chel De Vera Mariano said she wanted to try a new restaurant, so this was the best choice, being very near Clarity (where she had Intense Diamond Peel).

Pineapple Fried Rice is a combination of sweet and sour taste. Ingredients include nuts, raisins, egg, bell pepper, and shrimp. I like the presentation. At P200, this is worth trying.

Shrimp Pomelo Salad, P210. The pomelo alone made me happy, it's super sweet. The shrimps are extra big, too. I just do not like how they splatter the mayo dressing, it looks messy. I would have appreciated this salad more if they placed the dressing on a separate bowl.

Broccoli Beancurd Mushroom, P195. Taste like the Broccoli with oyster sauce I cook at home, though this one has beancurd in it. This taste good but the way they cut the broccoli made it difficult for us to swallow, it's a bit big. Again, the presentation was not very appealing.

Feel free to visit my other blog, Occasions of Joy, you might be the next lucky top commentator to receive a special gift or pampering.

Super Bowl of China - Glorieta

Super Bowl Fried Rice - rice sauteed in Super Bowl signature fried rice sauce, blended with assorted seafood, mushrooms, mixed vegetables, tomato sauce, and topped with BBQ Pork Asado, Roast Chicken, Crispy Shrimp and Whole Peanuts.

Yang Chow Fried Rice, P210. Good for 3-4

2 BBQ Combination is always on my list, P280.

Crispy Noodles with assorted seafood

Ongpin Fried Chicken, P170

Dimsum Platter, P260

Super Bowl of China - Glorieta is much bigger than Megamall and their other branches. That's not important though, as long as I get to eat there, be it in Trinoma, Alabang.

Alexa's Deli - Cafe and Wine Shop

Visiting my friends in Makati City, Bernard decided we dine at Alexa's Deli, located at the ground Floor of Classica Building, 112 H.V. Dela Costa, Makati City.

Since my husband is a coffee mug collector, this wall instantly caught my attention
I very much like the interior of this cafe and wine shop
Assortment of wine from different countries
Assortment of coffee from different countries
The food we ordered did not satisfy me, but the ambiance made up for it. Ms. Rose, Bernard and I were able to catch up and laugh to our hearts' content. Next time, I'd probably just get their coffee and cake.

Beef with Rice, P225
Breakfast Adobo, P200
Hungarian and Sausage Platter, P185
The ambiance would have been nice enough if the grape shake and Iced tea we've ordered were served in a nice tall glasses, rather than in plastic cups.

Grape Shake, P120
Iced Tea, P140

Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers

Finally, another Jollibee treat has come to delight both children and parents. Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers was launched last August 6, 2011 at Ronac Art Center.

The new Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers is made of seasoned tender chicken and carrot bits, and fortified with Vitamin A for healthier eyesight—in golden yellow crunchy coating. It is also ‘dip-able’ in a sweet barbecue sauce that the young ones will love.

“Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers offers the best of both worlds—flavor and fun in a healthier package—to moms and kids. We wanted them to experience this first-hand so the event was packed with exciting and informative activities that put their minds and bodies to the test, all the while letting them enjoy the nutritious and delicious taste of the ‘good nuggets’,” says Coleen Niguidula-Ducusin, Jollibee marketing manager.

Kids can enjoy it in a Jollibee Kids Meal complete with rice, regular-sized softdrink, and the featured collectible toy for only P98. It can also be savored solo for P75, as a value meal with rice and regular-sized softdrink for P99, or with regular fries and regular-sized softdrink for P110.

Kenny Roger's Restaurant Light and Easy Menu

Occasions of Joy's Top Commenter for May 2011, Bedalyn Aguas, and I headed at Kenny Rogers Restaurant in Powerplant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City.

We had the Light and Easy Menu, composed of Roast Chicken Sandwich and
Chicken Noodle Soup, P140
This bread is good for those trying to cut down on cholesterol, and weight too.

This is delicious but I was hoping there's lesser mayonnaise I opened the bread and wiped the mayo before munching on.

Though the Chicken soup looks it needs more milk, the taste is good enough.
