Yellow Cab Goodness

After Maizi's confirmation, we headed at Yellow Cab and had...ta-dah, PIZZA!

18" All Meat Pizza

The pizza is the moon on your plate and no matter how deep the night of your appetite, it will always light up the way. --- Guiseppe Moratta

Among the 3 pasta we ordered, husband and I voted best for the Meatball spag, although there were just 2 meatmalls, the sauce made up for the lack of meatballs.

Jalapeno Tango was not spicy enough for us but crispiness is good enough to satisfy our love for chicken wings.

Malunggay-Tuna Sandwich

Sharing my winning entry (2nd placer) for the recently concluded Walter Bread Cook Off, Malunggay-Tuna Sandwich.
Malunggay-Tuna Sandwich served two ways: for my kids baon and for snacks.

Ingredients: Minced malunggay leaves, drained tuna in brine, dried basil leaves, salt and pepper, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and fruits on the side.

Procedure: Mix all the ingredients and voila! As simple as that.

With Walter Bread, the whole family get to eat healthy food, yes, including our dog. Read below the captions to know why...

After cutting the bread into heart shape, two sides are left. This is the part that I eat. I sometimes force my husband to eat with me, lol!

The edges of the bread goes to our dog, Dengue, and the birds who visit us in the morning.

BI-WON Korean Restaurant

A lot of Korean's have been visiting the Philippines lately and some of them opted to stay for good. With their growing numbers, Korean restaurants have sprouted here and there. Most of these Korean restos make bits of changes to adapt to the Filipinos' taste buds. With that, one can say that it's not Korean after all.

At Biwon Korean Restaurant, located in Pasay, EDSA, (Telephone numbers: 551-2118 and 834-7576)
the Chef stick sticks to the Koreans' traditional way of cooking and flavoring.

Japchhe, P320

Biwon’s Kimchi is made fresh daily so diners get the freshest taste just like the Koreans do it in Korea.

It’s very informative to know that Koreans eat rice using their spoons, unlike the Chinese who uses chopsticks. Korean spoons are longer to prevent getting burn from the hot food.

Bulgogi, P300

Biwon  interior may be too simple but the Korean food they serve here definitely is  Korean!

Baja Mexican Cantina

What they offer here are Mexican comfort food that both and young will enjoy. The serving is good enough for sharing and the price, oh well, definitely much lower that other Mexican Restos.

Hong Kong Roast Food Express

Although partly hidden from the main road, HK Roast Food Express (formerly Hong Kong Roast)  is a place a foodie must not miss for they serve an array of great tasting authentic Hong Kong food.

Among the many dishes we tasted, I particularly liked this fish ball curry.
It's actually more like squid ball curry.

The place may be a bit  small but the interior is appealing and the seats are  comfortable. This place is a great place to hang out with friends over lunch or after office.  HKR Food Express  is located at 7467-C Bagtikan St., San Antonio Vill. Makati City, Metro Manila.
