Healthy Lunch at InterContinental Manila

At the launching of Reliv's Luna Rich product in InterContinental Hotel,
a healthy lunch was served

The taste of cured Pacific parrot fish Grave-Lax, Tagaytay mesclun salad with sun dried tomatoes reminds of tuna sandwich and potato salad that my sister-in-law used to make before she migrated in America.

Grilled chicken marinated in saffron low fat yogurt,
steamed rice and wok friend vegetables is good for those minding their cholesterol level.

This white and dark chocolate mousse cake and vanilla sponge
with mocha sauce on the side has the right mix of sweetness and bitter taste.

Alici, Anchovies, Angel's

Alici is an Italian word for anchovies, hence the name of Angel's Pizza flavor for Lent 'Alici'.

The incorporation of tomato and the black olives balances the salty taste of anchovies making this pizza a full meal for those on a one meal a day practice for the Lenten Season.

Giving gifts to people is one serious business for me. I like to make people happy and feel special. But I can't just give a shirt or any clothes. I'm bad at getting the right size.

Bakersfresh now makes it easier for me by their box of treats.

My mother-in-law loves eating garlic bread, this one goes to her.

Cheese sticks/bread for my friends

And Chuncky Chocolate Chips for my husband and kids.

Pancake House

Juan is a soup boy, mushroom soup in particular. He can finish 2 to 3 orders of rice along with an order of this soup. I had difficulty looking for a place to feed my son when we went at Manila Ocean Park last January 22. Good thing Pancake House has branch inside Manila Ocean Park. Though they didn't have mushroom soup at that time, Juan tried their chicken soup with bacon bits. He liked it and asked if I could make him the same.
I ordered Bonoan Fish. Cooked much like pork steak.
I liked it especially the picked kangkong on the side.

For dessert, we ordered extra thick Strawberry Milkshake,
which is good for sharing for the both of us.

Delicious Homecooked Meals at Tootsies

Every time we'd go to Tagaytay, I'd see the homey facade of Tootsies, but each time we'd just passed by this restaurant to beat the traffic that awaits us in Manila. Last November, I made it a point to have dinner there with my family to treat my good friend, Nora - along with her daughters Maizi and Jill.

The homecooked meals at Tootsies is amazingly delicious, we keep coming back since the first time we dined there.

What we had:

Freshly catch inihaw boneless bangus with frsh tomatoes and onion on the top

Stir=fried mixed vegetables

Fried Chicken

Adobo flakes - my kids favorite. One have an option for moist or dry,
be sure to instruct the food server.

Boneless sinigang na bangus in kalamansi - my favorite.

Pinakbet - my husbands favorite

Steamed rice that smells so good with pandan leaf on top

Bibingka

Palitaw

Leche flan

EasiYo, New Zealand’s favorite do-it-yourself yogurt system is now in the Philippines! With EasiYo's delightful taste, aroma and texture, people would not be able to resist eating everyday. The product is so versatile that people can eat it either on its own or with some fruits and nuts mixed into a bowl for that additional kick of sweetness or sourness. All you need to do is add EasiYo to your own personal recipe or consult the free recipe book that comes with each EasiYo pack. EasiYo comes in a starter pack that includes the EasiYo Real Yogurt Maker and EasiYo Yogurt jar; the Yogurt Base and Culture, which males one kilogram of yogurt; the EasiYo fruit squirt; and a 50-page EasiYo Recipe Book to get people started with cooking with yogurt.
